Frequently Asked Questions

We use only high quality, FDA-compliant,  skin-safe cosmetics that are hypoallergenic.  We never use products containing acrylics, craft paints or PPD found in hair dye.  Our brands include Mehron, Wolfe, TAG, EBA (European Body Art), Temptu and Custom Body Art (TCP Global) . For your safety, we do not apply products closely to mouth or eyes.  If you have highly sensitive skin or have allergies to natural products like organic coconut, latex, lavender, or cajeput, please let us know and we can substitute products, and/or do a skin test first. To "set" your designs, we use talc-free dusting powder (Burt's Bees) and Theatrical Make Up Sealer (Green Marble). Removing waterproof makeup can take some extra scrubbing, which can irritate sensitive skin, so we rarely use these on the face.

Water-based MakeUp comes off easily with soap & water. Alcohol-based Make Up wears off naturally as your skin exfoliates after several days, or can be removed with rubbing alcohol, lotions containing alcohol (most do), mouthwash, Dawn Dish Soap, baby wipes, coconut oil or any make up remover. Henna tattoos are not removable but fade naturally within 1 to 2 weeks.

We can not guarantee that the Make Up will not stain clothing, car seats, bath towels or bedding. Keep this in mind especially when hugging people, or standing close to someone for photo opportunities!

Our private, comfortable studio is In Mission Valley East. Reservations are by appointment.  We also travel to you for private sessions, parties, public events and photo shoots.
